Applying for a National Park Authority grant

You will need quotations for the work before applying for a grant. We will be happy to visit your property to advise about specifications and design, and about seeking quotations. We can also provide a list of approved craftspeople you could approach.

Except in straightforward cases, the use of a suitably qualified architect is recommended. Where appropriate, relevant parts of the professional fees up to 12.5% can be included within the grant at the same percentage as the works themselves.

Two sets of conditions apply to all grants offered:

  • Standard conditions relating to the grant itself. These are included with the grant application form.
  • Architectural conditions specific to each grant. These relate to how the work is to be done and are sent with the grant offer.

All grants are subject to a pay back condition in the event of the property being sold within three years.

Most grant applications are processed within three weeks.
