Holiday park near Dovedale with pitches for tents and caravans, offering restaurant, shop, café and bar facilities in the converted buildings. Wedding licence and luxurious bed and breakfast rooms opening 2008. All our dairy products and meat are sourced from suppliers within four miles of Rivendale. Most other products are sourced within a radius of 20 miles.

Single storey self-catering accommodation (sleeps 4, 1 twin room, 1 double en suite), fully fitted kitchen and living area with underfloor heating. Situated on a working farm at the heart of the Peak District, with direct access to all the Dales’ walks and cycle trails. All our produce is sourced locally (meat, dairy, eggs). Our visitors are encouraged to enjoy this beautiful backdrop for their outdoor activities and to learn about our traditional farming practices and the ancient burial mounds located on our farm.

The grant was given to undertake a sympathetic conversion of a listed old washhouse into holiday accommodation, incorporating the original earth closets and wash stones, and to offer special interest weekends focused on rural crafts. Total value of the project £52,000. NEE grant £13,000 (25%).

Talks, tours and courses celebrating the history of the Derbyshire Dales and Staffordshire Moorlands. The aim is to ‘unlock the past’, discovering, stimulating and creating a greater understanding of the area. The business benefits the Peak District by stimulating interest and developing a greater understanding of the area.

The grant was given to help establish a new business delivering talks, courses and guided history talks throughout the Peak, Dales and Staffordshire Moorlands. Total value of the project £5,519.10 NEE grant £2,207.64 (40%).

Award winning chocolatiers Bridget and David, featured many times on TV and in magazines, produce a limited amount of fancy handmade chocolates, confectionary and wedding cakes.
Chocolate talks now available to small parties by appointment only.
The business purchases cream, butter, milk, eggs and honey locally. It has also tried to establish a crop of angelica for crystallising. It makes people aware of how special the Peak District is, not only because of the environment, but also because of the people and businesses.
