Biodiversity Action Plan
Rough Grazing
Rough
grazing
includes extensive areas of mostly unimproved and often unfenced rough grazing land; this may include
a variety of other habitats, such as dry acid grassland, rock and scree, calcareous grassland, dwarf
shrub, scrub, and wet flushes.
These areas are an important part of the landscape character, there is often public access for recreational use, and potential for habitat creation works to establish other, less common, habitat types.
