Community Planning

The Peak District National Park Authority is a partner in Peak District Community Planning. This is a project which gives you the opportunity to contribute to the management of your village.

The project helps you:

• highlight the issues that are important to your community
• develop programmes of improvements
• find funding to carry out projects
• identify places of interest and unique features
• manage the impact of tourism
• encourage participation in community activity
• develop working partnerships with the National Park Authority and other authorities and agencies
• identify the right organisation to help you

Community Planning covers a range of techniques one or more of which may be suitable for your village. This website has been designed to help your village to make the most of these opportunities and learn from good practice already in use in other communities.

Peak District Community Planning is financed by the Peak District National Park Authority, Staffordshire Moorlands Community and Voluntary Services and by the European Regional Development Fund.
