Planning a visit:
When planning your visit you may need to think about:
- What are the most appropriate activities/programmes to meet your objectives?
- How much outdoor clothing does your group have?
- What is your ideal accommodation base, and are there any alternatives?
- What is your ideal time of year to visit, and are there any alternatives?
- What is the total cost of accommodation, transport and tuition and can you claim back any VAT?
- Does your group have any special needs requirements?
Residential visits
If you are staying residentially in the Peak District, we can provide tuition and programmes to meet your group’s needs.
Many of our groups use local youth hostels or other accommodation providers.
If you would like some advice about the best place to stay, please do not hesitate to call us.
Special needs
We strive to make our educational visits accessible to all.
Losehill Hall is fully wheelchair accessible and hearing loops are available in our lecture rooms.
If you or a member of your group has any special needs then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Wet weather alternatives
If extreme weather conditions pose a health and safety risk, changes will be made on the morning of your visit and the following options may apply:
- adjust the programme to allow for weather conditions on the day
- relocate the programme to an alternative site
- switch to an alternative programme at a more sheltered site
We'll come to you!
If your school is within one hour's drive of the Peak District then why not book one of our leaders to visit you for our Creating a Sense of Place introductory talk on the Peak District National Park?
Please contact us for more details.
